Accountability Matters

Eastern Klickitat Conservation District (EKCD) takes accountability seriously.

We strive to be exceptional stewards of the public funding we receive, set priorities that matter to our community, and demonstrate the benefits Washingtonians receive from our work.

Please check out our planning and reporting documents to learn more about where we’re headed and for examples of our accomplishments so far.

Our long-range plan covers a five-year period (2019-2024). We set goals and timelines to achieve key priorities, including farmland preservation, water quality/quantity, forest health, and more.

In addition to our long-range plan, EKCD develops an annual work plan of natural resources priorities. The plan follows the state fiscal year (July 2024-June 2025) and details specific actions we’ll take during that time.

EKCD partnered with neighboring Central Klickitat Conservation District to purchase and conserve approximately 4,500 contiguous acres of forest and rangeland in the Simcoe Mountains.

Here to Serve Local Landowners

All EKCD services are non-regulatory and designed to meet local needs. We work with you at your request and as a partner.
