Working Lands & Public Access

Eastern Klickitat Conservation District (EKCD) partnered with neighboring Central Klickitat Conservation District to purchase and conserve 4,500 contiguous acres of forest and rangeland located northeast of Goldendale in the Simcoe Mountain range. This acquisition protects land from development and subdivision thus maintaining these local working lands for economic and natural resource benefits to Klickitat County. These working lands also provide public recreation opportunity as well as conservation and enhancement of natural resources.
