James’ Buckwheat

Plants with red foliage are nature’s gift to landscape designers, and the James’ Buckwheat is just that with it’s fuzzy reddish-gray foliage. Combined with a loose cushion-type habit and cream flowers that turn to a deep rust color as the flowers age, this plant a becomes a striking addition to any landscape. Prefers coarse to medium clay soils, but will grow in slightly acidic, well-drained soils.
